Important! Birchwood Casey products are only shipped by UPS or Fed Ex ground only. These products can not be shipped via USPS.

All Birchwood Casey patinas are considered traditional patinas that will age or darken metal. These patinas are sold concentrated and should be diluted with distilled water (up to 50%) before use.

A clear sealer should, such as Clear Guard, be applied when completed to protect the finish.

The Birchwood Casey Gels make it easier to achieve an even patina and work well on vertical surfaces.

Gel solutions for Bronze, Brass, and Copper:
Antique Black Gel (M-24).
Antique Brown Gel (M-38).

Gel solutions for Iron and Steel:
Presto Black Gel (PC-9).

Liquid solutions for Bronze, Brass, and Copper:
M-38 is a spray, brush or immersion Brown Antiquing Solution.
M-24 is a spray or brush Black Antiquing Solution.
M-20 is the same Black Antiquing Solution as M-24, but is made for an immersion (dipping) process.

Liquid solution for Iron and Steel:
PC-9 Presto Black (Gun Bluing) spray, brush, or immersion.
BST4 Presto Black room temperature, brush-on solution.
Plum Brown Barrel Finish (32oz. only).

Liquid solutions for Aluminum:
A-14 spray or brush Black Antiquing Solution for Aluminum.
A-15 is the same Black Antiquing Solution as A-14, but is made for an immersion process.

Liquid solution for Pewter:
PB-1 Black Antiquing Solution for Pewter.
